I am a great lover of America's Railroad and the great Stations that they build. I know that there is other site that talks about railroads, but this is history also. Can we talk about this?

Hi, Richard loves trains and I love canals. Maybe there could be a Transportation forum.

I think a transportation forum is a great idea. Trains, planes, and canals are all a wonderful part of our history. I am even interested in the politics surrounding the canal projects. I think there should also be a subset about river/canal pirates. It would be interesting to read/discuss the correlation between the railroad robber barons and the rise of populist outlaws such as the James Gang and how the population viewed the railways and the robber barons taking land by eminent domain.
